Fall is coming!

This is what I felt like when I saw the weather forecast this week. I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned that I am NOT a hot weather person. These past few weeks my classroom has been unbearably hot and I'm excited to say that it looks like it will be lower 75 (outside at least) every day.  Many of my friends are mourning the end of summer but I love the autumn. Here are things I'm looking forward to:
At the beginning of October, I am bringing Timmy to see Billy Elliot. It has some language and themes that are a little mature for him but I think he'll be fine. I know he will LOVE it. It's one of my favorites. We are seeing it at a local theater near our house (bigger and more professional than just a local community theater company.)

This guy hits the double digits on October 4th. He is quickly catching up to my students.
Cinderella - Production Photos - National Tour
Bringing David, my friend Jessie and her daughter Teagan to see a former student in the national tour of Cinderella. (He's Prince Topher here)  We're going to the Boston Opera House. David has only seen one show before and I'm sure we'll get a chance to chat with Andy after the show.  (This photo was by Carol Rosegg. I copied it from the website so I wanted to give proper credit)

Apple picking. (everybody on this tractor is a relative on Matt's side.. and it's not even all of us.)

    My birthday!

There are so many more things too- hot chocolate, firepits, changing leaves, chilly nights, apple pie, apple crumb, even cooking warm dinners- like a roast beef dinner. Yum. I don't look forward to anything pumpkin since Timmy is deathly allergic.
What are some of your favorite fall things where you live?

    1. Karm, There are a ton of orchards around here that we can go apple picking at. I guess I take that for granted sometimes. We usually go to a farm right over the border in NH.

  2. I'm glad to finally be catching up on your blog ;) I'm one of those people mourning the end of summer. I love the warmth of the sunshine, the green trees, the calm blue skies... ;) Things I like about fall- apple pie (just made 2!), apple picking, warm blankets, chubby squirrels harvesting nuts, the corn maze!, cooking warm dinners ;) , and celebrating YOU!!!! :) Yay!

    1. I feel like it's still warm enough to be happy and the skies here are still blue and clear. I just like it being cooler. Matt made a delicious apple pie last night! It was so tasty.

My fave things about the Autumn is that I can wear my knitted cardigans, hats and scarves...! But I am not too fond of the rain, which we have ALOT of here in Scotland!! I still think that Spring and Autumnm are my two favourite seasons!

    1. Thanks. The colors of fall are very pretty around here. I look forward to those reds and oranges! I will try to take some pictures at the theater, but usually you can't. I can definitely get some of us but probably none of the actual show. The Cinderella website has some good pics of the show if you want to see: http://www.cinderellaonbroadway.com/photos

    1. This is one of my favorite shows! I cannot wait to see it again. I saw it once in New York. This theater is local and not as professional as Broadway or Boston, but it's higher quality than a community theater. I am really looking forward to Timmy seeing it. I have played the music for years so he's familiar with most of the songs.

    1. Thanks! I hope the weather gets better soon. It was very hot and humid here a few weeks ago and my classroom was unbearable to teach in.
